Darren joined Grant Thornton in July 2018 as an Associate Director in the firm’s all-Ireland People & Change Consulting practice.
He brings 18 years of experience in the field of people and organisational development to the role. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Darren spent ten years in industry holding Senior HR roles within one of Northern Ireland’s largest employers (3500+ employees). During that time he was responsible for developing and delivering the people and organisational development strategy and building “best in class” OD/change initiatives to drive a high performance culture.
Darren has also worked as a Senior Consultant in a Big Four firm in People and Change, working with clients across the UK providing significant input into key transformational change projects and the wider strategic business cycle from a people/OD perspective.
His subject matter expertise includes strategic HRM, leadership and talent development, performance management, capability assessment, people development (including coaching), succession planning, employee engagement and internal communication.
Darren has an extensive track record of delivery throughout the public and private sectors including centralised HR/OD change programmes across multiple locations. This experience includes working with the UK government, NI Assembly, local government, transport, energy & utilities, manufacturing, insurance and banking sectors.
