VAT and Indirect taxes
At Grant Thornton (NI) LLP, our team helps Northern Ireland businesses manage their UK and global indirect tax risks which, as transactional taxes, can quickly become big liabilities.
We are delighted to launch the second year of our Grant Thornton Northern Ireland Accounting and Business Update Seminar, which is a one-day refresh for accountants in business and across the various sectors.
The seminar provides a comprehensive update on recent and forthcoming developments; and on topical issues in IFRS, UK GAAP, Taxation, Employment law and Technology.
In tax the burden and complexity of the corporate, indirect and personal tax system continues to grow at a rapid rate; and accountants need to understand how these changes will impact their businesses and employees. This is compounded by the impact of Brexit and the tax sessions will explore some of the potential changes under Brexit, depending on the outcome of the final negotiations and the length of the transition period post 31 October 2019.
We will explore the global trade opportunities for Northern Ireland businesses in a specially tailored session on Internationalisation, with input from our Chief Economist, Andrew Webb and the opportunity to ask questions to the panel.
This event may qualify for 6 hours CPD by Chartered Accountants Ireland, if this is relevant to your role.
