Experience

Jonathan joined Grant Thornton in 2023 to lead the ‘Large Corporate and International Tax’ team in Belfast. Previously, Jonathan worked for over 10 years with HM Revenue and Customs, where he led UK Corporation Tax compliance checks and prepared international tax issues for litigation.
He specialises in complex international tax issues that include Corporate Residence, Transfer Pricing, Permanent Establishment, Diverted Profits Tax, Thin Capitalisation, Corporate Interest Restriction, Controlled Foreign Companies and other anti-avoidance measures.
Jonathan has worked with tax teams of some of the world’s largest corporate groups, together with other FTSE100 and high-value privately-owned enterprises, spanning a wide range of sectors including, Food and Beverages, Banking and Finance, Technology, Transportation and Energy.
