This year we invite you to register as a team* or an individual, run your best 5K at any point on Wednesday 8 September and register your time. Watch the leaderboard to see how your team is getting on! GT5K 2021 invites corporate teams, family teams, sports club teams or the individual runner to take part, compete and do if for dementia.

In a year where all charities have struggled we are delighted to continue to support Alzheimer’s Ireland, in advocating, empowering and championing the rights of people living with dementia and their communities.

The event also supports the development of young athletes with Athletics Ireland’s junior high performance programme, enabling them to reach their full potential.

When you register you will receive a GT5K t-shirt to add to your collection – or start it!

Chosen Charity - The Alzheimer Society

This year our chosen charity is The Alzheimer’s society, the leading dementia specific service provider in Northern Ireland. The society works in the heart of communities providing a range of services to help people affected by dementia find the right support, advice and information at the right time.   The society works on improving confidence and motivation, providing reassurance and allows people affected by dementia to get advice and information from experienced staff.

Their ambition is by 2022, all people newly diagnosed with dementia will have an offer of support, and be able to manage dementia and live better.
