Venue: Grant Thornton offices, Clarence Street West, Belfast
In the reporting year from October 2014 to September 2015 lawyers, accountants and tax advisors were responsible for just over 2% of all suspicious transaction activity reports made to the National Crime Agency (unsurprisingly, the vast majority of reports were made by financial or credit institutions). Knowing when to report your suspicions can be daunting to any MLRO, but the consequences of not doing so when it really matters can be serious.
Join us over breakfast for a discussion around the requirements and pitfalls of the current Anti-Money Laundering regime. The speakers will include Louise Barry, Director of Compliance for Grant Thornton and Patrick D’Arcy, Director in our Forensic & Investigation Services
In advance, we would encourage attendants to submit, in confidence, any questions they might have or areas which they would like us to cover.
