Louise is Audit Partner at Grant Thornton Northern Ireland, working in Ireland’s fastest growing professional services firm, delivering solutions to challenges faced by businesses of all sizes from a variety of sectors.
Louise joined Grant Thornton as a trainee in the firm’s Dublin office in 2000. She was appointed Audit Director by 2007 and was an integral part of the firm’s growth. Louise is committed to the development of young professionals and set up the firm’s Training and Professional Standards Departments and was heavily involved with coaching and nurturing young talent.
After nearly 14 years in Dublin, Louise moved back to her native Northern Ireland and was appointed Audit Partner in Belfast in 2014. Together with her partners in Belfast, Grant Thornton NI has doubled headcount and revenues in two years.
With extensive audit knowledge, Louise has lectured for professional accountancy bodies including Chartered Accountants Ireland. She is also the author of Advanced Auditing and Assurance, the text book used in Chartered Accountants Ireland final auditing exams. Louise sits on the NI main committee of the Institute of Directors and Ulster Society Member Services committee.
Louise encourages a business culture of creativity and innovation. She believes in working hard, always doing the right thing, looking after her people and having a bit of fun along the way. A highly successful woman, Louise is a figure to look up to for young women starting out in accountancy, all whilst juggling a busy family life and new born!
