Experience

Jane is Head of Employer Solutions in Grant Thornton (NI) LLP. She is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and has over 20 years’ experience in providing UK tax services to a wide range of businesses and individuals across the globe. Jane and her team provide a wide range of specialist tax support including Global Mobility Services and Cross Border Worker support, Equity Reward and Incentivisation, Employment Status, and Employer Compliance.

Jane is part of the all Ireland Global Mobility Services hub providing Employers with expert support in Employer and Employee Tax, Mobility Strategy, GMS Technologies, Global Payroll Services and Financial Forecasting; a one-stop shop for Employers with mobile employees, collaborating across the extensive Grant Thornton International network.

Jane provides expert Due Diligence support, assisting business with complex employment tax issues as part of the due diligence process, ensuring transactions complete where there are potential employment tax risks.

Jane has been involved in the development of IR35/Contractor “Employment Status Intelligence Platform” software which is a unique Grant Thornton tool developed to help clients make determination assessments and monitor their population of contractors and of-payroll workers and assists clients with the new April 2020 obligations

Sectoral Experience

Jane has experience across a wide variety of sectors including financial, technology, private equity, construction, medical, pharma, and gaming industries.

Jane works with businesses of all sizes, including local home grown clients, new start-ups and large global groups and listed companies.

Jane advises private equity investors, vendors and purchasers, assisting the transactions team on corporate restructuring and company acquisitions and advising on complex share transactions and helping firms navigate efficient outcomes.

Jane also works closely with the private client team to assist with their complex foreign client’s and also with the GMS teams across Grant Thornton International.
